A group of musicians from north Manchester will be staging a memorial gig on Saturday 7th July at The Harpurhey Neighbourhood Project to help raise money for the Booth Centre.
Last year a friend and fellow musician of theirs sadly past away. Prior to his death he spent a considerable time homeless on the streets of Manchester, and the Booth Centre helped him to sort out some of his problems and get back to a normal life. His experience living on the streets led his friends to become more aware of the challenges homeless people face. After his death they decided to get together and put on a show to see if they could raise awareness and hopefully some money for various charities helping homeless people. The event was a moderate success and they raised some money, so they are now going to make this an annual event and call it The Lance Crossley Memoral Gig for the Homeless. The event will be held on Saturday 7th July at The Harpurhey Neighbourhood Project, Carisbrook Street, Harpurhey, M9 5UX.
It would be great if you could come along to support the gig.
