How long have you volunteered with the Booth Centre?
I have volunteered for two weeks.
What do you normally do when you volunteer?
I serve in the café, I welcome people and chat to them. I also help people with interpreting as I speak Arabic.
What's your favourite thing about volunteering at the Booth Centre?
Everyday you get to know people. In addition to the friendly and amazing staff.
Have any of your perceptions around homelessness changed since volunteering at the Booth Centre?
Yes, I really started to feel like some people really need our help, and we must help them.
Any hobbies or interests that you'd like to share?
I like reading books.
What would you say to somebody who comes to the Booth Centre who is thinking of volunteering?
I encourage anyone who has free time to try volunteering at the Booth Centre. The Centre is great and makes a significant contribution in sheltering and helping people, so you can be a part of this contribution.
