The Booth Centre offers people the opportunity to try new things through our Activities Programme. As part of helping people to move off the streets and break the cycle of homelessness, we offer a variety free activities for people to get involved in.
Our Community Garden is a hidden gem in the urban sprawl of North Manchester. People who come to the Booth Centre work alongside our dedicated volunteering team and Activities Coordinator to manage the garden throughout the year, maintaining our RHS 5 Star rating! If you would like more information on the current Activities Programme and Art projects, please come by and ask at Reception. You can also get in touch directly with our Activities Coordinator, Thom, for more information.
We want to work with artists in our community, if you want to get involved you can email [email protected] |
Art covers the walls of the Booth Centre! There are many talented artists in our community and our Art Projects give people the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Although Art Projects and Gardening are amongst our staple sessions, we also facilitate Philosophical Conversation and Walking Group alongside our wonderful partner agency, Greater Together Manchester. Another close partner of ours is The Edge Theatre, who deliver Acting for Fun with us every week. People grow in confidence, develop new skills and work together as a group. Over time, people can get involved in 'The Buzz' inclusive productions, taking part in performances at The Edge Theatre. The high quality performance produced by the company challenges perceptions of homelessness and gives participants a huge sense of achievement. |
