This programme enables people who use the Centre to help us to run the Centre through volunteering.  They take on specific tasks such as decorating the Centre (which we do as a two week project each year), helping with the harvest festival appeal (which is a four week warehousing project to sort and store all the donations we recieve), as well as gardening and cooking. 

They gain work experience and work for nationally recognised qualfications in catering, warehouse skills, painting and decorating, and can take one day accredited courses in first aid at work, food hygiene, health and safety and manual handling.  Many of our volunteers move onto employment or take on voluntary jobs in the community.  This programme helps ensure that the Centre is run not just for but by the people who use it.
