In April 2002 we visited the Alternative Technology Centre in Hebden Bridge – this gave us an idea for a new project.
Using re-cycled plastics we're hoping to make a fountain for our garden at the Booth Centre, the fountain to be operated by a solar panel. Domestic waste such as milk bottles, shopping bags and margarine containers can be melted in a cooking pan on a stove, reshaped and designed – reused for our purpose. Solar power will be used to run the pump that operates the fountain. The next step is a further trip to the Alternative Technology Centre for more information about both processes.
