Open Cinema and Film Making
The Booth Centre has joined up with Open Cinema to bring film and filming making opportunites to people at the Centre.
We have installed a new surround sound home cinema to maximise the cinema experience.
Open Cinema is a nationwide network of film clubs programmed by and for homeless and socially excluded people. Each week participants watch the best in classic and contemporary cinema and work with professional filmmakers to create films of their own. Open Cinema is unique in providing participants the chance to schedule films they would like to see, meet the professional filmmakers that inspire them, and make films based on their own ideas and experiences.
Films are shown, free of charge, every Monday at 12.30 (arrive for 12 noon to have lunch).
We will be making our first film over the summer - so watch this space.
