My name is Adelle.  I've been with volunteering at the Booth Centre for more than 12 months. 

I have done lots of advocacy work, helping people to apply for hostels and taking them to their interviews and then helping them to move in and get furniture etc.  I also join in the Streetwise Opera music workshops. 

This is a photo of me performing with the group at St. Annes Church.  I've learnt a huge amount and met some amazing people.  It is sometimes hard work but it is great fun too.

My name is Karin and I've been volunteering at the Booth Centre for 12 months.

I help to make and serve sandwiches and make the drinks during the Cafe Advice sessions.  I also take people to appointments and have been helping a woman who has just got her own place to get used to shopping again.

I was nervous at first but the staff have given lots of training and support.  It's great to work as part of a team and we have lots of fun.  I'm gaining lots of useful experience which I hope will help me to get work soon.
