On Thursday mornings we invite outside speakers to come and talk to our Learning Circle and give interesting, lively and thought provoking talks which aim to stimulate discussions and help people to develop their group work and communication skills.
Recent talks have included the history of Jewish people in Manchester, rainforests in Equador, the medicinal qualities of herbs, the diary of a first world war soldier, witchcraft in Africa, Asia and Medieval Europe, tunnels under Manchester, Was Robin Hood a real person?, and a talk about the history of Manchester’s statues and public art. Manchester Museum have also visitied with objects for the group to handle.
