What we need
There are lots of things that we urgently need at the centre. Would you be able to help us with any of them?
Food and drink
We provide a free cooked breakfast and lunch to 80 people each day which means we're always in need of donations of food and drink. In particular we are in need of:
Underwear and accessories
Materials for our activities
Now that we have a shower we like to provide people with toiletry packs. We are always in need of:
We like to give people the opportunity to go shopping and choose their own new clothes, particularly if they are going to a job interview. Therefore we always welcome shopping vouchers.
Please note that we cannot accept donations of clothes or furniture as we do not have the space to store them. However, we refer homeless people to the Mustard Tree for these items and they will happily accept your donations too.
So that more of our funds can go directly towards helping homeless people:
Other ways to donate
We also work with Giveacar, who can enable you to donate your car and have the profits donated to the Booth Centre. Giveacar offers a very simple and free service that will help you do this. Every car has a value, whether it’s roadworthy or only good for scrap, and Giveacar is prepared to take yours away - no fee, no fuss. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the Booth Centre. Give a car is a voluntary, not-for-profit venture that allows you to donate your old car, just as you might donate possessions to a charity shop.
