The Booth Centre Academy Awards aim to help people to recognise their achievements, to improve their skills, confidence, self-esteem 
and health and to enable people to move on and take up employment, education, training or voluntary work in the community.  They recognise achievement and regular attendance at workshops.

Everyone achieving an award is presented with a certificate and is given a £10 reward on completion of a monitoring form, where we help people to plan their next goal.

People can work for one award at a time.

Education Award 
Attend at least 10 hours of an education or training course and gain new skills
Example: Learning Circle talks or Open Cinema discussions and film making

Arts Award
Attend at least 10 hours of an arts-based activity
Example: Drama or Music - Streetwise Opera

Community Award
Carry out at least 10 hours of voluntary work 
Example: Working in the Booth Centre kitchen preparing lunches or become a Booth Centre Ambassador and give talks about the Centre 

Health Award
Take part in at least 10 hours of sports or outdoor activities
Example: crown green bowling, allotment gardening or badminton and understand how being more active helps improve your health

Gold Award
Complete all the above awards, set and carry out a personal challenge to achieve an agreed goal and take up employment, education, training or voluntary work in the Community
